DP Football and Cheer Results
Cheer squads – Congratulations to the Midget and Pee Wee Cheer Squads for placing first in their divisions at the MidFlorida Cheer Competition. They will now advance to the Regional Competition to be held Friday November 25th and Sunday November 27th. Great job to all the girls that competed and performed this year!
Football – Congratulations to the DP Panther Midget team on a 14-6 victory over the South Central Tigers to be named 2011 MidFlorida Champions! They will advance to the Southeast Regional Playoffs competing against a Jacksonville area team on Saturday, November 12th. Game time is set for 5:00 PM at Edgewater High School. Tickets $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for Students K-12.
Congratulations to the Pee Wee team on a great season as well! The Sanford Seminoes pulled out the victory over DP with a final score of 14-8.
All of the DP football teams are to be congratulated on a great season!
Picture Day this Saturday – Sept 3
Picture day is this Saturday – Sept. 3rd as we host Sanford. Your team mom should have distributed a form that shows all of the picture options you can purchase. KICKOFF CLASSIC VS OLYMPIA
We have finalized the times for our Kickoff Classic vs Olympia, Saturday August 20th. The times are as follows:
- Mitey Mites and Junior Pee Wee: 9:00 AM
- Tiny Mites and Junior Midget: 10:30 AM
- Pee Wee: 12:00 PM
- Midget: 1:00 PM
Secondly, we will now hold Picture Day on Saturday, September 3rd.
OLD JERSEY SALE AT EQUIPMENT HANDOUT
We will be selling our old navy jerseys, pair of practice pants and 7 piece pad set for $25.00 at equipment distribution this Saturday for anyone interested in purchasing. Cash or check only. If a player would like their number from the previous season they should contact their team mom to reserve it by Thursday, July 28th.
EQUIPMENT HANDOUT JULY 30TH
We will be handing out equipment on July 30th at the following times:
TM, MM, JPW – 9:00 – 10:30 AM
PW, JM, M – 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
We will be distributing under the visitor side stands.
KICKOFF CLASSIC ON AUGUST 20TH
The DP Panthers will host the Kickoff Classic games vs. Olympia. Team Photos will also be scheduled for that day before each game. Game times are to be determined, but will be published here when confirmed.
Registration for the 2011 Football/Cheer Season
The 2011 Registration for returning and new Pop Warner Cheer and Football will be held Saturday April, 9th in the DPHS North Campus Cafeteria. Registration will be open to all players from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Please remember that if you are a returning player you are guaranteed a spot so it is not imperative that you be there right at 12:00. The lines may be shorter later in the afternoon.
Please make sure you bring the following completed items with you to registration:
* 2011 Participant Contract and Parental Consent Form (all 3 pages)
* 2011 Physical Fitness and Medical History Form
* Copy of Player Birth Certificate - Required at registration for new & returning
* Proof of Residence - photocopy of utility bill showing address is perfect
* Picture of Participant – passport size is ideal – about 1″ x 1.5″ – a close up of the face
* $225.00 Fee – cash, check, money order or PayPal
Please note if you do not have the above items your child will not be registered. Refunds will only be issued if rosters are full or due to extreme circumstances.
